On Saturday 12th October 2019, it is Metabolic Support UK’s Annual Conference. At this year’s Annual Conference, there will be NextGen sessions running throughout the day for those aged 12-25. The NextGen sessions will be a great opportunity to meet other young people with Inherited Metabolic Disorders and to hear how you can be the best patient advocate for your condition. 10:00 – 10:25: Introduction in main room (25 mins)

10:30 – 11:00: Introduction to NextGen and the day’s agenda (30 mins)
11:00 – 11:30: Talk by Laurence Woollard on positive adherence to treatment for young patients – with Q&A (30 mins)
11:30 – 11:45: Break (15 mins)
11:45 – 12:15: Talk by Elaine Murphy, Metabolic Consultant, on adult treatment and what to expect – with Q&A (30 mins)
12:15 – 13:05: Talk by Lynne Aitkenhead, Clinical Psychologist with the BIMDG, about Mental Health and coping mechanisms – with Q&A (50 mins)
13:05 – 14:00: Lunch (55 mins)
14:00 – 14:30: Demonstration of Health Passports and MyMeta App, with feedback (30 mins)
14:30 – 15:30: Young persons’ workshop on NextGen (1 hour)
15:30 – 15:50: Reflections & next steps (20 mins)
